Student setup walkthrough

5 Steps to Get Set Up

1

Pick Your Role

Go to app.prepwise.uk/setup.html and tap "I'm a Student" or "I'm a Parent". No codes needed.

2

Sign Up with Google

Tap Sign up with Google. Your alpha access is assigned automatically — no codes, no waiting list.

3

Pick Your Subjects

Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, History, and Computer Science. English and Geography are coming.

4

Set Your Exam Date

Pick when your GCSEs start (usually May/June 2027 for Year 10s). PrepWise paces your revision around it.

5

You'll see your daily plan: Learn a new topic, Review an older one, Test yourself. 30 minutes. 3 tasks. Done.

For Parents

Go to app.prepwise.uk/setup.html, tap "I'm a Parent", and sign in with Google. Then connect to your child by entering their email in the parent dashboard. You'll see:

You can link multiple children from the parent dashboard using their email addresses.

When Something Goes Wrong

It's alpha. Things will break. Here's where to go:

Quiz scored wrong

Report it in Discord #scoring-issues. Top priority. I fix these fast.

Something is broken

Discord #bug-reports or email support@prepwise.uk

Missing content

Let me know on Discord. Some subjects are more complete than others.

Every report gets read. I'm the only person building this, so when you flag something, it goes straight to the person who can fix it.

Tips for Getting the Most Out of It

1

Same time every day

The habit matters more than the duration. 30 minutes after school, every day, builds up fast.

2

Don't skip the review task

It's the spaced repetition. The thing that makes knowledge stick. The learn task feels more productive but the review task is what prevents forgetting.

3

Let your parents see the dashboard

I know. But it stops the "are you actually revising?" argument.

4

Report scoring issues

If you type a correct answer and get 0, tell me. The scoring engine handles typos and different phrasings but it's not perfect. Every report makes it better for everyone.

5

Complete all 3 daily tasks for bonus XP

Finishing the full session unlocks bonus tasks and a 2x XP multiplier.
