📖 Setting the Scene

Paris, January 1919. The guns have fallen silent after four years of slaughter — 17 million dead, empires collapsed, Europe in ruins. Now three men sit down to decide the future of the world. France's Georges Clemenceau, nicknamed "The Tiger," wants revenge. Britain's David Lloyd George faces an electorate screaming "Hang the Kaiser!" but worries about going too far. And America's Woodrow Wilson arrives with his idealistic "Fourteen Points" — a vision of a new world order. These three couldn't agree on what day it was, let alone how to punish Germany and prevent future wars.
