FSH — the three battles in order:
- Fulford Gate — 20 September — Hardrada wins (defeats Edwin and Morcar)
- Stamford Bridge — 25 September — Harold wins (Hardrada killed)
- Hastings — 14 October — William wins (Harold killed)
To remember the date order: "Fast Sam Hits" — Fulford (Sept 20), Stamford (Sept 25), Hastings (Oct 14). Three battles in 24 days.
Key people at each battle:
- Fulford Gate: Edwin and Morcar (English earls) LOSE to Hardrada
- Stamford Bridge: Harold BEATS Hardrada + Tostig (Harold's treacherous brother)
