🔍 Marcadores de acuerdo y desacuerdo

Section A — Agreement

  • sí, claro, desde luego, tienes razón, exactamente, por supuesto, efectivamente
  • Desde luego = of course — NOT "since" or "from the place." It is a fixed agreement phrase and a common trap at Higher.

Section B — Disagreement

  • no estoy de acuerdo, pero, sin embargo, al contrario, ¡qué va!, en realidad no
  • Al contrario = on the contrary — a strong reversal signal. Whatever was just said is being rejected completely.

⭐ The trap

A speaker can agree with words but disagree in tone. Bueno, si insistes... sounds like agreement but implies reluctance. At Higher, AQA tests whether you catch the REAL attitude behind polite language — not just the surface words.
