🔍 El truco de nosotros — The Nosotros Trick
-er and -ir verbs look almost identical across every person — except nosotros:
- comemos (-er verb → -emos)
- vivimos (-ir verb → -imos)
This single difference is the #1 exam trap for -er vs -ir verbs. Students who know all the other forms still lose marks by writing vivemos — which does not exist in Spanish. If the verb ends in -ir, nosotros ends in -imos. No exceptions for regular verbs.
⭐ Memory hook
Think: -ir → -imos. The i in -ir stays in -imos. The e in -er stays in -emos.
