⭐ Mapa — a masculine -a noun
un mapa — mapa is masculine despite ending in -a! This catches students who apply the -a = feminine rule automatically. Always: el mapa, un mapa, los mapas. Other masculine -a words at GCSE: el problema, el tema, el día.
