🔍 The lo/la Trap — Direct Object Pronouns
In transactional Spanish, lo and la are direct object pronouns that replace the item you're talking about. English just says it — Spanish must choose based on the gender of the noun.
Masculine items → lo
¿Tiene el jersey en azul? → Me lo llevo. (I'll take it.)
¿Lo tiene en rojo? — replacing el jersey → lo
Feminine items → la
¿Tiene la camisa en negro? → Me la llevo. (I'll take it.)
¿La tiene en verde? — replacing la camisa → la
