- For writing tasks asking about healthy lifestyle, use the pour + infinitif structure: pour rester en forme, je... — it shows purpose and boosts AO2.
- Don't just list foods — say what you think of them: je mange des légumes parce que c'est bon pour la santé.
- In listening, watch for negative health habits described with trop de (too much) or ne... jamais (never).
- Mental health vocabulary (le stress, l'anxiété, la santé mentale) is explicitly on the AQA 8652 list — use it to elevate your writing beyond food and exercise.
❌ Common error: Je fais de l'exercise tous les jours.
✓ Correct: Je fais de l'exercice tous les jours.
Why it costs marks: Exercise is the English spelling. The French word is exercice — no x in the middle. This is one of the most frequent spelling errors in AQA French and directly hits AO3 (accuracy). Practise writing it correctly every time: exer-ci-ce.
