- 5 tasks, 10 marks: each task is worth 2 marks — 1 for partial communication, 2 for full communication
- The ! task carries 2 marks: it is no harder to mark than any other task — one full sentence earns the mark
- Preparation time is 12 minutes total: use all of it — prepare your question for the ? task, plan your opinion for the opinion task, and rehearse a ! rescue sentence
- Est-ce que is safest for ? task: intonation can be misread as a statement; inversion risks hyphen errors
- Vous pouvez répéter? is a legitimate communicative strategy — using it correctly shows real language competence
- Short answers are rewarded: one or two clear sentences per task — do not fill silence with rambling
