In casual spoken French, the ne is very commonly dropped, leaving only the second element: "je sais pas", "il vient jamais". You may see this in AQA listening texts or reading passages representing dialogue.
⭐ CRITICAL exam rule — never drop ne in writing
In any GCSE writing task — controlled assessment, translation, or any written response — you MUST include both parts of the negative. Writing je sais pas instead of je ne sais pas is an AO2 error and will lose marks. The informal spoken form is never acceptable in GCSE written French.
