Native French speakers almost never repeat a noun they've just mentioned — they swap it for a short pronoun and carry on. "Tu vois Marie souvent?" "Oui, je la vois tous les jours." That little la replaces Marie entirely. And instead of saying "Je vais à Paris" again, a French speaker just says "J'y vais." Mastering object pronouns, y, and en is what separates clunky textbook French from natural, flowing expression — and it is exactly what AQA Higher mark schemes reward.
