Quick recall flashcards

ein kleines Haus
a small house (neuter, nominative). 'klein' takes -es because 'ein' does not show the neuter gender by itself, so the adjective does.
die schöne Stadt
the beautiful city (feminine, nominative). After 'die', the adjective takes the weak -e ending. Note 'schön' keeps its umlaut -- never write 'schoen'.
