In a role-play with a shopkeeper, waiter or official, use the formal Sie, not du:
- Haben Sie…? (not Hast du…?)
- Können Sie das wiederholen? (not Kannst du…?)
- The verb with Sie always ends in -en: Haben Sie, Können Sie, Sind Sie.
