Calculate: 1½ × 2⅔

Solution

Step 1: Convert to improper fractions

1½ = 3/2, 2⅔ = 8/3

Step 2: Multiply

3/2 × 8/3 = 24/6

Step 3: Simplify

24/6 = 4
