Spinning Shapes
A rotation turns a shape around a fixed point (the centre of rotation). Like putting a pin through a piece of paper and spinning it. The shape stays the same size and shape - it just faces a different direction!

Exam Tips
X Forgetting to state direction
Always say clockwise or anticlockwise
Except 180° which is same both ways
X Confusing CW and ACW formulas
90° CW: (x,y)→(y,-x), 90° ACW: (x,y)→(-y,x)
Clockwise goes "with the clock"
