Worked Example 1: Finding a Missing Angle

A triangle has angles of 65° and 48°. Find the third angle.

Step 1 Use the angle sum rule

Angles in a triangle sum to 180°

65° + 48° + x = 180°

Step 2 Solve

113° + x = 180°

x = 180° − 113° = 67°
