Soap bars: Buy 3 get 1 free, £1.20 each OR Buy 2 for £2.00. Which is better?
Step 1 Calculate cost per bar for 3-for-2 offer
Buy 3 get 1 free: Pay for 3, get 4 bars
Cost = 3 × £1.20 = £3.60 for 4 bars
Price per bar = £3.60 ÷ 4 = £0.90
Step 2 Calculate cost per bar for 2-for-£2 offer
2 bars for £2.00
Price per bar = £2.00 ÷ 2 = £1.00
Final Compare offers
£0.90 per bar < £1.00 per bar
