Worked Example 3: Dividing Decimals
Calculate: 8.4 ÷ 0.3
Solution
Multiply both by 10 to remove decimal from divisor:
8.4 ÷ 0.3 = 84 ÷ 3
84 ÷ 3 = 28
Check: 28 × 0.3 = 8.4 ✓
