Example: In 26,843.75
- 2 = 2 ten thousands = 20,000
- 6 = 6 thousands = 6,000
- 8 = 8 hundreds = 800
- 4 = 4 tens = 40
- 3 = 3 units = 3
- 7 = 7 tenths = 0.7
- 5 = 5 hundredths = 0.05
Total: 20,000 + 6,000 + 800 + 40 + 3 + 0.7 + 0.05 = 26,843.75
