Worked Example 1: Two-Way Share

Share £60 in the ratio 2:3

Step 1 Find total parts

2 + 3 = 5 parts

Step 2 Find value of ONE part

£60 ÷ 5 = £12 per part

Step 3 Multiply for each share

First share: 2 × £12 = £24

Second share: 3 × £12 = £36

Check Verify total

£24 + £36 = £60 ✓
