Worked Example 1: Fraction to Decimal to Percentage
Convert 5/8 to a decimal and percentage
Solution
Fraction to decimal: 5 ÷ 8
= 0.625
Decimal to percentage: 0.625 × 100
= 62.5%
5/8 = 0.625 = 62.5%
