Worked Example 1: Missing Angle

A quadrilateral has angles of 85°, 110°, and 72°. Find the fourth angle.

Step 1 Use the angle sum

Angles in a quadrilateral = 360°

85° + 110° + 72° + x = 360°

Step 2 Solve

267° + x = 360°

x = 360° − 267° = 93°
