Simplify 18/24 to its lowest terms
Method 1: Using HCF
Factors of 18: 1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 18
Factors of 24: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24
HCF = 6
18÷6 = 3, 24÷6 = 4
Answer: 3/4
Method 2: Step by step
18/24 ÷2 = 9/12
9/12 ÷3 = 3/4
Answer: 3/4
